The Age of the Gods slots have obviously proved to be quite a hit for Playtech, since it has continued to add ‘sequel’ slots to the original game in the series. Joining the Gods is the Prince of Olympus version, which adds a few new twists to its gameplay to intrigue players already invested in these epic slots.
For Age of Gods fans, Prince of Olympus retains a familiar look and feel to its basegame with five reels, twenty-five paylines and symbols linked to this slots central character, Hercules. Special symbols to watch for are the Hydra Bonus symbol on reels one and five, the Hercules Scatter and the Hercules Wild. Taking these in reverse order, the Hercules Wild can only be found on the middle three reels, but exhibits ‘Herculean’ strength in specific situations.
First, where it lands on the centre of reel three, it expands to fill that reel, locks and triggers two respins in that state. Secondly, if three Wilds land anywhere on consecutive reels those three expand to smother those reels, lock in place and then trigger a single respin. Both events are great sources of heroic wins as we’re sure you can imagine!
Turning our focus to the power of the Hercules Scatter, this will both trigger pays when three or more in view and a bonus of ten free spins with all wins tripled in value. Verdict
Prince of Olympus slot is a very worthy addition to the Age of the Gods slot series, and whilst its features have been seen before (we suspect this is a re-themed version of Playtech’s Incredible Hulk slot) we’re very happy to see them included here. Another epic slot for those that love the myths and the legends of the Age of the Gods.
